Aug ??? 2015 Closing Inipi (Sweat-lodge) (date not set)
There are sections of the river that are good for canoe travel and water level
permitting we are hoping to get canoes on the water to honor the ancestors
As a Sundancer all ceremony’s I organize start and end with Inipi ceremony ~
this is open to all but not a requirement ~ Each day will include Sunrise and
Sunset Pipe Ceremonies and are open to participants but not required ~ I
understand that in many cultures women do not do sweat-lodge ceremony and
all ways are honored and respected.
If you are going to participate in the purification ceremony on June 11th, please remember this is a sacred ceremony and remember to consume no alcohol or drugs 4 days before the ceremony. We do need about 1/4 to 1/3 of a cord of wood for this ceremony and you will need to show up by 9 AM & it will probably be done around 4 to 5. Bring 1/2 gallon of drinking water, chair to sit on, it is 500 yards away from parking, donation for fire wood, finger food for potluck after ceremony. Please bring something to wear inside the Lodge as it will be a mixed ceremony.
Ladies this should be a long dress or skirt and top and our shoulders should be covered. Thanks, looking forward to meeting you there!
